Gameloft Toronto was a startup satellite studio working closely with Gameloft Montreal. To justify continued investment, we were tasked with resolving serious performance issues on a port of the game to the Sony PlayStation Vita.

After extensive profiling, we identified that render distance was causing the device to exhaust its graphics memory, triggering constant asset loading and unloading. This was a shared issue with Asphalt 6 and required careful tuning of LOD, streaming budgets, and render culling to bring the performance to a shippable standard.
