Unity's Console Window, although not the flashiest system, was the first overhaul I completed after joining Unity. I used this project to gain deep familiarity with the native side of the engine — code paths not exposed to end users — which became invaluable foundation for the larger projects that followed.
Beyond restructuring how data was stored for greater efficiency, the overhaul added meaningful workflow improvements: additional sort parameters, dedicated filter buttons to narrow output by message type, and better search capabilities. Small improvements that thousands of developers interact with every day.
